I have set myself a challenge to complete 2 Marathons a month, a total distance of 52 miles. Every week i will complete 1/2 Marathon, in up to 4 separate distances.
First of all i like a challenge, it gives you something to focus on and aim for. But i also believe that extremely long distance running has too much of an impact on the body. Splitting the distances into several shorter runs keeps a routine, and i personally believe is healthier for the body.
I will update each week with a summary. I am to keep this challenge up for at least 6 months! That is a total of 12 Marathons, and a distance of 312 miles! Wow.
